	A Caring Savior Life has its share of fear and failure. Sometimes things fall short, don’t quite measure up. Sometimes in our life, we are seemingly left without strength to go on. Sometimes people fail us, or economies and circumstance fail us, and life with its hardship and heartache can leave us feeling very alone. Cast all your cares upon Christ, “for he careth for you” (1 Pet. 5:7) (See options...)

	A Mother's Vigil: I Would Gather Thee (Modern) I WOULD GATHER THEE AS A HEN GATHERETH HER CHICKS Parable O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! - Matthew 23:37 A Mother's Vigil: I Would Gather Thee (Modern) On the night before Jesus was crucified, He went to the Mount of Olives overlooking Jerusalem with His disciples. As He sat looking down on the city and people He loved, He lamented, "... how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!" - Matthew 23:37. Like God, each of us is anxious to gather our own families around us. We long to provide needed comfort amidst the ever growing storms that surround them. In this picture of a worried mother waiting up for a child that isn't home yet, I painted twelve eggs, symbolic of the number of Jesus' apostles - those who assisted Jesus in His work - and the thought that God wants to gather all of His children, but that He often does this through the love and efforts of our families here on earth. 	A Prayer For My Brother After looking at this powerful work, it may not surprise you to learn that Phillips is a former firefighter. (Bill left the profession after 16 years when he began to earn a living through his art.) Bill has painted this iconic and heroic work of art to support firefighters nationwide. He hopes that the outpouring of support for New York fire fighters continues to raise awareness and appreciation for the everyday, unsung heroes in communities everywhere. (See options...)

	Abide With Me (See options...)


	Abide with Me Surely the Savior knew from an early age the path that lie ahead of Him, yet He was not discouraged or dismayed. He went about doing good and filled His life, and the lives of others, with joy and happiness. I am inspired by the story of Reverend Henry Lyte. Henry's father abandoned the family while he was a young boy and his mother died shortly after. In addition to being orphaned at an early age, Henry struggled throughout his life with poor health - yet all that knew him commented on his cheery temperament. His final contribution came just three weeks before his death. Though he was dying of tuberculosis, Henry was still determined to give to others. He rose from his bed and penned the words that would become the cherished hymn, Abide with Me. Abide with Me! fast falls the eventide; The darkness deepens. Lord with me abide. When other helpers Fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, oh, Abide with me! Certainly none of us can walk through life free from illness and despair, but we each can decide how we will respond to those trials that come. This painting reminds me when trials come that I can choose to retreat into myself, or I can choose to reach out as the Savior did and bring happiness to others. Only selfless sacrifice can we ever hope to abide with the Lord. (See options...)


	Abide With Me Most of humankind has experienced some yearning for what might be described as a time of heavenly rest. This image represents that welcome arrival recorded in Matthew 25:21, ""Well done, thou good and faithful servant...enter thou into the joy of thy lord."" The Book of Revelation (7:17) declares: ""For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."" The fountain in the background is a reminder of those living waters and is based on an earlier painting entitled Be Not Afraid. In that image, Jesus is shown helping two small children across a turbulent stream, leading and even carrying them to the safety of the other side. This painting represents the ""other side"" of that turbulent stream, a place of eternal rest, where we might imagine Him to say, ""Abide with me."" (See options...)


	Add To Your Faith This young woman has learned to let her light shine before the world, to show faith with good works. She looks upward and onward, while "standing as a witness of God at all times, and in all things, and in all places." We are so fortunate to have a growing generation of valiant souls that will continue to show exemplary behavior, serve others with kindness and charity, and make the world a better place. 	Against The Wind When Peter saw the Savior walking on the water he cried out, "Lord…bid me come unto thee." "Come." was all He said. Filled with faith, Peter stepped from the safety of the boat on to the stormy sea. But as the winds picked up and the waves grew stronger Peter’s faith turned to fear. As he began to sink, Peter cried out, "Lord, save me." Two thousand years later, Christ is still calling to us. As we step from the safety of self-reliance on to the stormy seas of discipleship, like Peter we pray, "Lord, save me." With perfect calmness He stills the winds of our doubt, reaches down from heaven and saves us. (See options...)
