Technically I began this painting on the 17th, last Thursday. There we did the photo-shoot for this painting. I wanted to do a painting of the Savior experiencing a moment of joy. Originally, it was going to be of Jesus & John the Beloved laughing, but I was unable to find the resource for that idea, so “Come and See” was born. Kenneth Cope wrote the music for this and included it in the 1st cd of “Son of Man.”

It is a piece devoted to the “becoming a disciple of Jesus Christ.” When we filmed it, the power and strength of the apostles with the Savior was tremendous and almost tangible. Many have commented on the same impression as well as Phillip (Savior). Anyway, I did the first primary sketch today so ‘Come and See’ has begun.
