Oquirrh Mountain Temple For Youth

During his short time as prophet of the Church, President Howard W. Hunter encouraged us to, “ be a temple-attending and a temple-loving people.” Teaching our children to love the temple begins in their earliest years. We have repeatedly been counseled that every home should have a picture of the temple, and more recently that every child’s room should have a picture of the temple.

The Foundation Arts line of primary and youth temples are designed to allow children to have a picture of the temple that is their very own. Something that makes the temple seem welcoming and inviting. A picture that communicates the importance and love of the temple in a way that children and young adults can relate to.

In a world of media targeted at diminishing the importance of family and covenants, President Hunter again gives us hope, “The temple is a place of beauty, it is a place of revelation, it is a place of peace. It is the house of the Lord. It is holy unto the Lord. It should be holy unto us.” (Howard W. Hunter, “The Great Symbol of Our Membership,” Ensign, Oct 1994, 2)
